Chriserver - WoW Private Server Setup

Getting Started

Follow these steps to connect to Chriserver and start your adventure!

Step 1: Download the Game Client

Download the WoW client files from this server or use your existing installation.

Download ChromieCraft 3.3.5a Client

Or browse all available files in the directory.

Step 2: Update Realmlist

After installing/extracting the game client, you need to configure it to connect to Chriserver:

Navigate to your WoW installation directory
Open the following file path: Data\enUS\realmlist.wtf
Open the file with a text editor (Notepad, Notepad++, etc.)
Replace all contents with:

set realmlist wow-chriserver.duckdns.org

Save the file and close the text editor

Note: If you're connecting from the same local network as the server and experience connection issues, you may need to use the local IP address: set realmlist 192.168.1.254

Step 3: Download Addons (Optional)

Enhance your gameplay experience with recommended addons:

Download Addons from Felbite

Important: Make sure to download addons compatible with WotLK (3.3.5a). Addons from other expansions will not work properly!

Installing Addons:

Download WotLK-compatible addon files from the link above
Extract the addon folders to: Interface\AddOns\ in your WoW directory
Restart the game if it's already running

Step 4: Create an Account

You must contact the server administrator to create an account.

Note: The automatic account creation page is currently a work in progress. Please reach out to get your account credentials.

Step 5: Launch and Play!

Launch WoW.exe from your game directory
Log in with the account credentials provided by the admin
Select the Chriserver realm
Create your character and start playing!
